Wedding Floral Arrangements
Consultations and Quotes
Initial consultations are free but it is advisable to book to ensure that Carole Wickham is available.
A maximum of 2 free consultations will be provided prior to making a booking for your wedding flowers. Additional consultations may be booked but charged at an hourly rate of £10 until your booking and deposit have been received. Following this there is no maximum number of consultations and no further charge for this service.
Your quote prices are valid for 10 weeks from the date they are sent to you. If you chose to book after this time there may be the need to re-quote.
Mock bouquets can be arranged if required and will be made to the same standard as the real bouquet and subject to availability of materials. There will be a charge for this and it MUST be paid for in advance.
Your options are that you can leave us to choose a mix of flowers, - or we will work to a colour and style palate, based on our discussions, emails and photographs that you send in. Please note this never produces identical flowers or designs to the photos that you send in, these are used as inspiration and guidance.
Bookings and Payment
When a wedding date is booked a £50 deposit is required. The £50 deposit is deducted from your final flower bill. No wedding or event will be booked until this deposit is paid.
If, for any reason, you decide to cancel your wedding this deposit is non-refundable. If you decide to postpone your wedding we will hold your deposit until your wedding goes ahead.
The full payment of the price quoted will be required 4 weeks before your wedding date.
The cost of your wedding flowers can be spread over the months leading up to your wedding date, please ask for details.
Please see Hire of Venue Styling Equipment below for details of refundable security deposit regarding items such as Martini vases, candelabras etc.
Payment can be made either by card, cash or by electronic bank transfer (BACs). We can under special circumstances accept payment by cheque.
Details and Amendments
Your initial quote will normally be provided in writing by email, unless requested by post, within 14 days of your initial consultation.
If you wish to make any alterations to your wedding flowers that we have discusse these can only be accepted in writing or in person at the shop. Please understand that we are working on a number of weddings each month and written requests ensure no mistakes or misunderstandings are made when it comes to your final list of flower arrangements. Please do not pass these important messages via Facebook messaging as these can easily be missed.
Only the Bride and Groom may make any amendments to the flower order. If you have a family member wishing to choose their corsage colours for example, this will have to be communicated to us through either the Bride or Groom in writing, in person or via email.
You will be invited for a consultation at least 6 weeks prior to your wedding to go through your final requirements.
Only minor changes such as buttonhole numbers can be made within 4 weeks and 1 week prior to the wedding date. We cannot accept any alterations less than 7 days prior to your wedding date.
Cancellations and Refunds
If you cancel your wedding flowers no less than 4 weeks before the your wedding date we reserve the right to retain your initial deposit to cover consultation and administrative costs.
Cancellations within 4 weeks of the wedding date, when the full payment will have been made, will be subject to only 50% being refunded.
If through illness or for reasons beyond our control, we are unable fulfil our commitment to you, we will, with your agreement, employ a free-lance florist or pass your order to an available florist who will work to our quoted prices.
In the very unlikely situation that we are unable to find an alternative florist you will be refunded in full and be given all support available to provide your wedding flowers.
If after your final payment has been received you choose to reduce the total cost of the flower order, you will only be refunded 50% of the cancelled items. As we will be unlikely to take a booking of value so close to an event date and may have turned work away due to the original intended workload.
Hire of Venue Styling Equipment
We charge a refundable security deposit of £100 for this service. This deposit also secures your date.
Charges will be made for any item that is lost, or returned damaged or broken. Replacement of goods will be charged at the current purchase price and will be deducted from your security deposit. It is the responsibility of the hirer to reclaim any of these costs from the venue if the venue was at fault.
Charges in respect of chair covers, table linen etc. will be made for any tears and marks/stains that are not removable following normal laundering.
Equipment hired, for example, vases, plinths, candelabras, chair covers, sashes, Twinkle products etc. remain the property of Wickham & Taylor Ltd at all times.
We are happy to dress your venue with any finishing touches you supply but please note there will be an added cost attributed to this for our time.
Additional Terms and Information
All prices are inclusive of VAT and include the cost of delivery, set up and collection.
Any booking taken for wedding flowers and venue dressing which is outside our 25 mile radius from S75 6AS will be charged at 25p per extra mile. This includes to and from the venue on set up and collection.
All our prices include delivery, set up, and collection of our items the following day. We will liaise with your venue for set up and collection times. With regards to wedding flowers, if more than two delivery addresses are requested then a small mileage fee may be charged.
Fresh flowers are a living product and are affected by weather conditions, transport from the wholesalers and other influences beyond our control. On rare occasions, because of our stringent quality checks, we may have to substitute a specific flower. If this happens we reserve the right to source a similar flower, and we hope that you trust our judgement to make any necessary substitutions, and know that it is in your best interests for us to do so.
Any mock bouquets made for you, along with any designs and photographs of our work we allow you view and/or take away with you, are subject to copyright laws (The Copyright, Designs and Patent Act 1988) and therefore you are not permitted to show them to, or allow them to be copied or used by, any other florist or floral designer without the express consent of Wickham & Taylor Ltd. If you choose not to use Wickham & Taylor Ltd to provide your wedding flowers any designs and photographs must be returned without being copied.
Wickham & Taylor Ltd reserve the right to take photographs of flowers and the venue setting prior to your wedding and these may be used for promotional purposes. However, we will NOT use these photographs until AFTER your wedding day.
Flower orders, on delivery, must be signed for. Any complaint or dissatisfaction must be notified when delivery is made. No responsibility will be accepted for later complaints from you or your wedding party.
All floral gifts on this website are available for delivery within a 10 mile radius from our postcode. Under special circumstances we may be able to deliver further afield but there will be an additional mileage cost.
Certain floral products may be delivered by us ‘in bud' to ensure longer life.
All products are subject to availability. In the event of any supply difficulties, we reserve the right to substitute a product of equivalent value and quality without notice.
In the event that we are unable to supply the product or any substitute product to you at all, we shall notify you as soon as is reasonably possible and shall reimburse your payment in full and in any event no later than 30 days after the intended delivery date.
All prices include VAT
During order submission you will be required to provide us with your personal details, including accurate postcode, contact phone number, email address etc., together with similar details of the intended recipient and all necessary payment details. We accept payment by most major credit and debit cards. By clicking on the 'complete order’ button on the Order Form, you are consenting to be bound by our Terms and Conditions.
Anomalies in your submitted personal details may lead to problems or delays in delivery.
On acceptance by us of your Order Form we will advise you by e-mail confirmation of the intended delivery date. We will process Order Forms received on Sundays or Public Holidays the next working day. We do not deliver on Sundays or Public Holidays but we will deliver the product you request on the next working day.
Whilst we agree to use all reasonable endeavours to ensure that delivery will be on the requested delivery date you acknowledge that in very occasional circumstances delivery on the requested terms will not be possible. In such circumstances you will be given prior notice wherever possible and we will either make alternative arrangements or will reimburse your payment in full.
In case of delivery to certain locations where a third party is involved, such as offices, hospitals , hotels, and other business locations, the signature of any person authorised to accept delivery on behalf of the organisation will be accepted as proof of delivery to your chosen recipient.
Where the carrier is unable to find someone to accept delivery they will either deliver to a neighbour or leave a card at the address for the recipient to make contact.
Orders may be amended or cancelled up to 24 hours before the intended delivery date. To amend or cancel your order, please contact us using the contact details contained on our website.

Because of the perishable nature of products and in order to assist in resolving any complaints quickly, we advise you to make any complaint within 1 working day of the date of delivery.
